Oversee educational programming to include: Youth Matinee, Afterschool Programming for Edgewood and SAISD, The Creative Cruiser mobile arts lab, Master Classes, camps and intensives, weekly Arts Lab Classes, and outreach programming. Help artists build customized curriculum, conduct site visits, payroll, facilitate registration, and order supplies for arts lab classes.

Design and implement individualized creative experiences for patients, families and medical providers in hospitals and other medical facilities, including in-person and virtual creative writing workshops for individual patients and in group settings. Co-hosted Arts for the Health of It podcast exploring how the arts contribute to and improve our health and wellbeing.

Served as literary ambassador for the City of San Antonio to promote poetry, literacy, and the arts. Writing and performing poetry that reflects cultural and social themes relevant to the community. Engaged with diverse audiences through readings, workshops, and public events. Collaborated with various City departments and local organizations to enhance community engagement and developed programs and initiatives to encourage creative expression. Contributed to the literary landscape through published and commissioned works, performances, readings, lectures, and workshops.

Literary Award of Excellence 2024

Created customized classroom curriculum and lesson plans for in-school and out-out school time workshops and summer camps, oversees placement for teaching and performing artists to align their teaching styles and skills with specific needs of students and classrooms, designs and leads creative writing and performance workshops for youth and adults of all ages, curates and hosts community engagement events.

Co-founded a youth literacy arts organization which hosts writing and visual arts workshops, poetry events, slams, and other public events. Designed curriculum and served as a lead teaching artist for writing and performance poetry workshops. Serves as coach/mentor (along with co-founder) of youth poetry slam team. Designs and oversees various community engagement programs such as poetry slams and competitions, readings, community workshops, and other poetry events.

Co-founded literary arts education non-profit that develops and promotes creative expression through writing, poetry, performance, and community engagement programs. Designed curriculum for and served as lead instructor for workshops in creative writing and performance. Developed, implemented and managed various community engagement events and programs, including open-mics, poetry slams and an online literary magazine featuring the community’s work.

Designed and implemented curriculum for out-of-school time for youth on San Antonio’s Eastside. Led workshops in creative writing, and performance with focus on creative expression, leadership, and youth empowerment.

Provided a safe environment for staff and detained youth, and administrative documentation. Greeting the general public, answered phone calls using PBX Operating systems. Announced all emergency procedures, conducted staff training on all operational equipment in Main Control. Maintained and created filing logs for personnel and visitors entering and exiting the facilities. Maintained and distributed mail, conducted tourS of the facility, taught literary workshops and artistic programming for staff and detained youth at special events.
