Short bio: Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson is a poet, author, and singer, and the first African American Poet Laureate of San Antonio, Texas (2020–2023). A 2021 Poets Laureate Fellow of The Academy of American Poets, she is the author of She Lives in Music (FlowerSong Press, 2020) and The Seasoned Woman (Gnashing Teeth Publishing, 2025).
